From coffee mugs, bowls, and plates to vessels over five-feet tall, Heath has established his reputation through a multi-faceted body of work. For Heath, technical precision founds aesthetic expression without overshadowing it. Consequently, Heath’s pieces reflect both technical virtuosity and aesthetic originality. Despite the immense variety in his pieces, Heath’s intention and care never falter.  Mug handles are pulled by hand, as opposed to being extruded, and the lines in an incised vessel are carved one by one.  Whether a mug or a large vessel, Heath’s life-long relationship with clay is represented.
